The Wood Marketing Federations mission is to promote wood as a renewable, sustainable and versatile natural material. The Federation was subsumed in Forest Industries Ireland in 2019.

It carries out a number of major projects including:

• National Forestry Conference
• Wood Awards Ireland
• Wood promotion to general and specialist audiences
• Publication of Woodspec – A Guide to Designing, Detailing and Specifying Timber
• Seminars and workshops
• Wood promotional and educational literature
